After two years of commitment to the THINKMD team, CEO Chris Powell will be stepping down from his co-lead operational role and transitioning to become an advisor for the company. Co-founder and company co-leader, Barry Finette M.D., Ph.D, will lead THINKMD as it prepares for a significant era of growth in 2024.
“It has been an honor to co-lead the THINKMD team over the last 24 months, with a number of successes achieved including an enterprise-wide agreement with Save the Children International, the building of a data interoperability system for DHIS2 in Kenya, a $1.5 million grant by the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) open innovation program, the launch of THINKMD’s platform into manufacturing factories in Cambodia and expansion of our relationship with our largest partner, Healthy Learners,” says Mr. Powell. “Most importantly, we have implemented new processes for scalable growth and have tripled our workforce, positioning us with the team and skills THINKMD will require to thrive in global health.”
A veteran healthcare executive, Chris Powell joined THINKMD in September 2021, utilizing his three decades of healthcare experience to co-lead with Barry Finette M.D., Ph.D, supporting the strategy and mission of the company enabling a number of milestones to be reached including the expansion of THINKMD’s clinical intelligence to cover all adults, broadening from a maternal, newborn and child health focus.
“THINKMD is grateful to have leveraged Chris’s expertise and experience in scaling business operations and commercialization of our technology. His time here has significantly propelled THINKMD forward and we are indebted to him for his time, dedication, and service,” says Dr. Finette.
